Registration and Refund Policies

Payment Policy Payment Plan Options & Due Dates: -> For 1-2 Hours of Class(es), Payment in Full due at registration -> For 3-4 Hours of Classes, 60% due at registration, 40% due by end of September -> For 5+ Hours of Classes, 40% due at registration, 30% due by end of September, 30% due by November 1st -> If paying by cash or check, a 5% discount is applicable If you are going to be utilizing a payment plan you MUST have a VALID credit card on file. You will not receive a bill prior to us running your credit card. Note: If it becomes necessary to refer your account for collection, you will be responsible for the cost of any legal action in addition to the overdue amount. Refund Policy When you register for dance classes, you are making a full term commitment and are responsible for paying for the entire term unless you withdraw before October 4, 2010. Beyond October 4th, there will be no refund or credits to your account. You must notify a person at the front desk in writing that you are withdrawing you child. Telling your child’s teacher will not activate the refund policy nor will not attending class. For single semester dance classes, you may withdraw within two weeks of the beginning of the semester for a full refund. Beyond the first two weeks, there will be no refund or credit to your account. First semester starts September 13, 2010 through January 22nd, 2011. The last day to withdraw is September 27th, 2010. Second semester begins January 24th, 2011 through May 27th, 2011. The last day to withdraw is February 7th, 2011. Beyond this point there are no refunds or credits to your account. You must notify a person at the front desk in writing that you are withdrawing your child. Telling your child’s teacher will not activate the refund policy nor will not attending class. For private voice and acting classes, if you withdraw within the first two weeks, you will be refunded your tuition less classes already taken. Beyond the first two weeks, there will be no refund. Fees/Tuition please see tuition page Returned Checks There will be a $20.00 bank charge for any returned check. Make-up Classes In general, students are not required to nor do we offer make-up classes for dance, theater, and group voice classes. The exception is ballet class. Absences due to illness must be made up in another session of the same level or in an open class. For private voice lessons, you are allowed two make-up classes per semester if the front desk is notified of your absence 24 hours in advance of your lesson. If the studio is forced to close due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, make-up lessons will be offered if feasible or your account will be credited for missed class. Weather related closings The Pulse does not provide make up lessons for weather related closings. Dress Code The Pulse dress code for dance classes (pdf format) - The Pulse reserves the right to exclude from classes and activities anyone who fails to abide by the studio's rules, practices, and code of behavior. - The Pulse is not responsible for personal property. - Prices and dates are subject to change.
